Timothy William Ketler

Timothy William Ketler February 19, 1958 – July 21, 2026 Timothy William Ketler, 68, faithfully finished his earthly race and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at his home in Springfield, Tennessee, surrounded by his loving family. Though his family deeply grieves his passing, they rejoice knowing that Tim's faith has become sight and that he is forever with the Savior he loved and faithfully served throughout his life. Born in Tacoma, Washington, Tim was the son of Arnold W. Ketler and Marcella M. Ketler. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of seven while attending Temple Baptist Church and soon afterward dedicated his life to serving the Lord as a pilot at Glendawn Baptist Bible Camp. Tim graduated from Stadium High School, attended Los Angeles Baptist College, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He enjoyed a distinguished 38-year career with Delta Airlines, retiring in 2023 as Captain of the Airbus A350. More than anything, Tim was known as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He faithfully served through mission work in Kenya and Uganda, helping establish the Peace with God Gospel Rally, was a dedicated member of Crossroads Baptist Church, The Gideons International, and participated in the Uruguay, Mid-America, and Poughkeepsie Passion Plays. His life was guided by one simple message: "We Must Tell." Tim was loved for his deep faith, humble spirit, generous heart, contagious smile, quick wit, and wonderfully goofy sense of humor. He had a remarkable gift for making people laugh, feel loved, and leave every conversation encouraged. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Faye Couts Ketler; his children, Noah (Ashley), Caleb (Juliana), and Sarah Grace; eight cherished grandchildren; his sister, Sandi Reed (Jim); his brother, Dave Ketler (Liz); his twin sister, Tamara Ketler; and many extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved brother, Jonathan (Cindy still alive) Ketler. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Crossroads Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the Service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Gideons International, P.O.
