Maria Amalia Mejia-Del Cid, age 46, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1pm at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Anthony Lopez as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4-8pm and again on Saturday from 10am until 12pm. Mrs. Mejia-Del Cid was born February 5, 1975 in Honduras to Julio Cesar Mejia Marques and Hilaria Del Cid Sanchez. She was a homemaker and communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mrs. Majia-Del Cid is survived by her husband, Augusto Retana; and children, Dany Augusto Retana Mejia, Yahaira Cecilia Retana Mejia, Arvin Noel Retana Mejia and David Josue Retana Mejia. La misa fúnebre se llevar a cabo el sbado 23 de octubre de 2021 a la 1 pm en la iglesia catlica Our Lady of Lourdes con el padre Anthony Lopez como celebrante. Seguir el entierro en el cementerio de Elmwood con familiares y amigos como portadores del fretro. El velorio se llevar a cabo en Austin & Bell Funeral Home en Springfield el viernes 22 de octubre de 2021 de 4 a 8 p.m. y nuevamente el sbado de 10 a.m. a 12 p.m. La Sra. Mejia-Del Cid naci el 5 de febrero de 1975 en Honduras de Julio Cesar Mejia Marques e Hilaria Del Cid Sanchez. Ella era ama de casa y comulgante de la Iglesia Catlica Nuestra Seora de Lourdes. A la Sra. Majia-Del Cid le sobreviven su esposo, Augusto Retana; y los nios, Dany Augusto Retana Mejia, Yahaira Cecilia Retana Mejia, Arvin Noel Retana Mejia y David Josue Retana Mejia.
