Ina “Susie” Ruplinger, age 91, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial for Susie will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at St Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk, WI with Friar John Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church in Wisconsin on Saturday from 9am until the hour of Mass at 11am. A graveside service will be held at Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery in Springfield on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 10am with Pastor Diane Coppock officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Susie was born May 1, 1920 in Springfield, the daughter of Allie and Lena Pitt Martin. She married Ralph Ruplinger on March 14, 1943 at Fort Benning military base in Georgia. Susie and Ralph split their time as residents of both Tomahawk and Springfield. Susie was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk for 13 years. She especially enjoyed spending time in the Sacred Heart Nursery. Susie and Ralph loved to travel, making trips across the US, Europe and the Caribbean. Along with traveling, Susie enjoyed old country music and Army reunions. Susie was especially proud of the fact that she lived to see her great-grandchildren who meant the world to her. She was a member of St Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk, WI, and the Oddfellows. In addition to her husband Susie is survived by her son, Donald (Kathleen) Ruplinger of Andover, MN; daughters, Susan (Gerald) Krueger of Tomahawk, WI, Linda (Robert) Andrus of Weston, WI and Cynthia (Roger) Truelove of Greenbrier; sister, Hannah Davenport of Springfield; brothers, Carl (Maline) Martin and Robert “Jerry” Martin, both of Springfield; grandchildren, Jason (Jessi) Ruplinger, Tara (Brian) Tehako, Misty Truelove, Ryan (Kristi) Andrus, Gerod (Kelli) Truelove, Victor Krueger and Sonja Krueger; great-grandchildren, Cody Andrus, Sevin Tehako, Kaitlin Ruplinger, Jacob Truelove, Isaak Truelove, Ethan Andrus, Elijah Truelove and Liam Ruplinger. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Palestine United Methodist Church. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
