Charles Conroy Head, Sr., age 71 of Ashland City, Tennessee, died, Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held, Sunday, November 10, at 2:00PM with Brother Jim Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Head Family Cemetery in Chapmansboro with Austin Taylor, Austin Douglas, Avery Head, Zachary Head, Joshua Head and Mark Head serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Allie Ramirez, Ronnie Barron, Robert Head, Gerald Albright, David Proctor, Wesley Attebery, David Shores, Butterball Balthrop, Wade Scholes, Charles Douglas, Leo Smith, Dale Shearon, Winkie Albright, Donald Wilbanks and members of the Cattlemens Associations. The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Saturday, November 9, from 2-8:00PM, and again on Sunday from 12:00PM until the hour of service at 2:00PM at the funeral home. Mr. Head was born on June 15, 1948 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Richard and Hazel G. Albright Head. He severed in the US Army and was a highly decorative Vietnam War Veteran. He was also a full-time farmer, which he loved. Charles also loved hunting, spending time with his grandkids, his cattle and his dogs. He was a member of Mt Carmel United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Chuck Head; brother, Kenneth Head; and sister, Pat Head Summitt. Mr. Head is survived by his wife, Mitzi Fletcher Head; daughter, Tracy (Brandon) Douglas; brother, Tommy (Deloris) Head; sister, Linda Attebery; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Head; sister-in-laws, Debbie Head, Mona Bryant and Frankie Fletcher; grandchildren, Ashlee (Austin) Taylor, Austin Douglas, Abbi Douglas, Alli Douglas, Avery Head, Zachary Head, Joshua Head, Betty Jean Head, and Lizzie Beth Head; and Allie Ramirez, who was just like a son to Charles; and many loving nieces and nephews..
