Thomas Cranford, Sr., age 75 of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 10:30AM on Tuesday, April 12th, with Bro. Bob Carroll officiating. Burial will be at 1:00PM at Nashville National Cemetery in Madison with Tim Cranford, Jacob Marvel, Michael Marvel, Donnie Cranford, Cary Clary, and Donald Jackson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 11th from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Tuesday from 9:30AM until the hour of service at 10:30AM. Mr. Cranford was born on September 7, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Herbert, Sr. & Shirley Parrish Cranford. He was a retired veteran after 29 years with the U. S. Army serving in the Vietnam war. He loved gardening, had a great love for his dogs & cat , and loved his family dearly. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Cranford; brothers, Herbert Cranford, Jr, Wayne Cranford, and Glenn Cranford; and sisters, Sandra Lyons, Gayle Pewitt, and Linda Cruse. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elaine Cranford; sons, Thomas Cranford, Jr. and Michael Cranford; daughter, Tonya (Michael Patrick) Marvell; brother, Dan (Doris) Cranford; grandchildren, Jacob Marvel and Taylor Nicole Marvel; and many loving nieces and nephews.
