Age 83 of Hendersonville passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her home. She was born November 15, 1933 in Wilson County, TN to Harvey H. and Mattie Bell Hardison Cox. She worked as a homemaker and loved gardening and bird watching. She was a proud lifetime member of Weight Watchers. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Johnny Dowell Pharris and Perry Dean McCord; 5 brothers; 2 sisters and 1 grandchild. She is survived by her sons, James (Jeanette) McCord, Hendersonville, TN and Tim (Brandi) Pharris, Cottontown, TN; daughters, Cynthia (Sammy) Owen, Greenbrier, TN and Melanie Smith, Hartsville, TN; sister, Martha Graves, Smyrna, TN; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express special thanks and gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Frances, Vanessa and Ann Marie. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 3:30pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 2017 4-8pm and Wednesday, June 14, 2017 12-3:30pm at the funeral home.
