Linda Gayle Abbott, age 69 of Pleasant View, Tennessee died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Abbott was born on July 8, 1951 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Delbert & Mildred Kirby Martin. She was retired as a Certified Nurses Technician at Vanco Manor in Goodlettsville and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Penkerton. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Abbott; sons, Marc (Traci) Abbott, Sr., Randall (Shelly) Abbott; daughter, Christie Abbott; brother, Douglas Rigdon; sisters, Rebecca (Terry) Morris and Tonya (Bubba) Mangrum; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, Tn 38105. Linda’s remains will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
