LaJune Dever

June 17, 1942 - March 1, 2022

LaJune Evans Dever, age 79, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Jerry Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 4-8pm and again on Friday from 10am until the hour of service at 2pm. Mrs. Dever was born June 17, 1942 in Chapmansboro, TN to the late Lloyd Mason and Mabel Ford Evans. She was the owner and operator of the Springfield Skating Center and member of the Springfield First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents Mrs. Dever is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Joseph Dever, brother, Lloyd Evans, Jr., and sisters, Sara Fern Maddox and Louise Stotts. Mrs. Dever is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Tracy Dever; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Joe de Graauw; brothers, Louis Evans and Billy Evans; and grandchildren, Emma Dever, Daniel Dever, Kaitlyn de Graauw and Cooper de Graauw. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Springfield First United Methodist Church Youth Ministry or to the Gideons International. Any donations may be sent in c/o Austin & Bell.
