Betty Jane McMurtry Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Age 72 of White House went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 22, 2021 at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield. She was born May 3, 1948 n Portland, TN to Gilford Buntin & Essie Marie Parker Buntin. Betty was a beloved wife, daughter, sister and friend. Her beautiful smile and humor was contagious. She never met a stranger and was known for giving the best hugs. She was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church and had an incredible love for Jesus. She spoke of Him to everyone she met. She will be extremely missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Ray McMurtry; sister, Barbara Walls; brother, Robert Buntin. She is survived by her daughter, Kellie Stone Morgan (Terry), Mount Juliet, TN; brother, James Buntin (Linda) Cross Plains, TN; sisters, Margie Brown, Springfield, TN and Deborah Buntin Jones (Bill) Mount Juliet, TN; brother-in-law, Clarence Walls, White House, TN; sister-in-law, Donna Buntin, Portland, TN; 2 grandchildren, Allaine Morgan and Michael Yancy; 2 great-grandchildren, Ty Yancy and Chance Yancy. There are no visitation and services scheduled. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are encouraged to The Nashville Rescue Mission or to Second Harvest Food Bank.
