Age 52 of Cottontown went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 7, 2021 at her home. She was born July 27, 1969 in Nashville, TN to William "Butch" and Wanda Lanich Norton. She worked as a teacher's assistant at Jack Anderson Elementary School and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Mary Frances McMurtry. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Wayne McMurtry, Cottontown, TN; son, Bradley Wayne (Marie) MCMurtry, Greenbrier, TN; parents, William "Butch" and Wanda Norton, Hendersonville, TN; brother, Donald (Rena) Norton, Hendersonville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Elliana, Landon and one on the way; father-in-law, Loyd McMurtry, Goodlettsville, TN; one niece, Ashley Shannon; one nephew, Dillon Norton, both of Cottontown, TN. A Celebration of Life Memorial service is scheduled for Friday, November 12, 2021 at 6pm at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. H.D. Jones officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at the Hillcrest Cemetery Columbarium. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 4-6pm at the church prior to the service.
