Will Ewing Head, Jr., age 89, of Cedar Hill, TN, died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 oclock pm, Tuesday, December 1st in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Billy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Heads cemetery with Mr. Heads grandsons, and Will Oliver, Rodney Balthrop, and Preston Murphey serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View from 4-8:00PM on Monday, November 30th, and again on Tuesday from 11:00AM until the hour of service. Mr. Head was born in Robertson County, TN on January 8, 1926 to the late Will E. and Martha Elizabeth Williams Head, Sr. He was a farmer and a member of Heads Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Frances Balthrop Head; brothers Alvin, John, and A.T. Head; and sisters Lorene Oliver, Irene Lee, and Pauline Head. Survivors include his sons, Gary D. (Terry Sue) Head of Cedar Hill and Burton (Nancy) Head of Columbia, MD; sister, Beatrice Jones of Springfield; grandchildren, Brian (Paige) Head of Katy, TX, Brad (Meredith) Head of Brussels, Belgium, Michael (Jennifer) Head of Cedar Hill, Ben (Amy) Head of Cedar Hill, Stephen (Ashley) Head of Cedar Hill, and Ashley (Jon) McPherson of Okinawa, Japan; 16 great-grandchildren.
