Rachel Dean Tolley

Rachel Dean Carlisle Tolley, age 83, a lifelong resident of Greenbrier, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, April 25th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home and on Wednesday, April 26th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 12:00 pm with Rev. Randy Harmon and Rev. Jon Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens. She was born in Orlinda, TN to the late Ewin Dayton Carlisle and Virginia Carlisle Corbitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, James Ray Tolley; sister, Linda Gail Carlisle; brother, Ewin Michael Carlisle. She and Mr. Tolley were owners of Tolley’s Video in Springfield and also owned Rachel’s Knit Shop in Greenbrier. She also worked for National Life. After Tolley’s death she participated in a Newborn Baby blanket ministry. She was a longtime member of Rock Springs Baptist Church where she also worked in the Nursery for about 25 years. She is survived by daughters, Cindy (Terry) Hayes of Ridgetop, Brenda (Ronnie) Bellar of Ridgetop, Donya (Danny) Oliver of Ridgetop; grandchildren, Taylor (Kelli) Hayes, Samantha (Kyle) Jones, Jamie (Catherine) Bellar, Emily (Matt Smith – fiancé) Hayes, Ryan (Nicole Roosma – girlfriend) Drake; Amelia Drake, Terry Oliver, Amanda Oliver, Tyler Oliver; great-grandchildren, Tristen Jones, Bellah Jones, Daisy Bellar; aunt, Doris Ann Garrett and special sister, Ruby Templeton. Pallbearers will be Terry Hayes, Ronnie Bellar, Danny Oliver, Taylor Hayes, Jamie Bellar, Kyle Jones and Tristen Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Drake - USAF, Matt Smith, Don Templeton, Terry Oliver and Tyler Oliver. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O.
