Michael Henderson

Michael Howard Henderson, Sr., age 64, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Summit Regional Medical Center in Hermitage. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Josh Lynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Sharon Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 10am until 2pm and again on Sunday from 1pm until the hour of service at 2pm. Mr. Henderson was born August 13, 1953 in Springfield to the late Roy and Jewel Rawls Henderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked at ARS Heat and Air. In addition to his parents Mr. Henderson is preceded in death by his sisters, Irma Jean Anderson and Molly Jo Vance and his brothers, Kenneth Henderson and Harold Henderson. Mr. Henderson is survived by his son, Michael (Gwendalyn Baker) Henderson, Jr. of Antioch; daughter, Tina (Andrew, Jr.) Williams of Nashville; brothers, William “Bill” Henderson, Porter Henderson, Jimmy (Phan) Henderson and David Henderson; sisters, Sandra Yvonne Cope and Joyce Ann Smith; long-time friend, Chelle Sells; mother of his children, Nancy Henderson; grandchildren, Alainah Williams, John Williams, Amanda Williams, Mackenzie Henderson, Michael Jayce Henderson and Kalee Jayd Henderson; and great-grandchildren, Jaylah Williams and Rowan Stafford.
