LIllie Marie Hall Byrum

Lillie Marie Hall Byrum, age 73 years, of Ridgetop, TN, passed away at NorthCrest Medical Center January 1, 2011 after an extended illness. She was born in Goodlettsville, TN to Walter Douglas and Mary Templeton Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1980 by her husband of 26 years, Boyce Byrum, Sr.; brothers, Andy Bowers, Jim “Bud” Bowers; and sister, Dorothy Carpenter. A Celebration of her Life will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011, 1 PM at Austin Bell Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel with Rev. Greg McClellan and Dr. Jeff N. Keyes officiating. She retired from Nashville Wire Company as a secretary and after her retirement, she continued her career as a real estate agent and former member of the Tennessee Realtors Association. She loved her family, her church and cooking. She was a long-time member of Highland Chapel Church and served on the Board of the church for many years. Along with her love for cooking she owned a catering business and published a cook book. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Boyce and Marilyn Byrum, Jr., Ridgetop, TN, and Dennis & Judy Byrum, Springfield, TN; brothers & sisters-in-law, Earl & Janice Hall, Ridgetop, TN, Doug and Donna Hall, Celestine, Indiana; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce & Glair Mullins, Cottontown, TN; brother-in-law, John Carpenter, Ridgetop, TN; sister-in-law, June Bowers, Goodlettsville, TN; grandsons and spouses, Jason & Kendra Byrum, Trey & Erica Byrum, Craig & Stefanie Kerber; great granddaughter, Jenna Byrum and loving companion, John Suter. Visitation with her family will be on Monday, January 3, 2011, 3 to 8 PM and on Tuesday, January 4th from 12 to 1 PM time of service. Serving as pallbearers are Andy Bowers, Bobby Carpenter, Randy Briley, Gary Baird, Johnny Carpenter, Ricky Baird & David Carpenter. Her final resting place will be at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
