Larry Wilson Morgan

Larry Wilson Morgan, at the age of 74, passed away at his home in Ridgetop, TN on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 where he had resided for 66 years. Arrangements entrusted to Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 2619 Hwy 41 S., Greenbrier, TN. The family will receive friends 2pm to 8pm, Sunday, June 3rd and 10am to 1pm, Monday, June 4th at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier. The funeral will be at 1pm, Monday, June 4th at the Funeral Home with Rev. Rich Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. Larry was born September 2, 1943 in Davidson County to the late R.W. and Dorothy Algood Morgan. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Steve Morgan, Kenneth Morgan and a sister, Charlotte Morgan. He was a longtime builder in the surrounding area and had served as the turf manager and grounds supervisor at Oak Hill Golf Course in Greenbrier, TN. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Rebecca L. Morgan; children, Mike (Cheryl) Morgan, Melanie N. Morgan; grandchildren, Tucker Dutton, Kayla Kent (Adam) Rude, Hannah E. Morgan, Houston D. Morgan and his constant companion, “Max” the boxer. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Dennis, Doug Baxter, Ryan Dickerson, Benton Hart, Adam Rude and David Lovell. Honorary pallbearer will be his constant companion “Max” the boxer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Middle Tennessee Boxer Rescue, 330 Franklin Rd., #135-192, Brentwood, TN 37027.
