Kenneth Wayne Gay

Kenneth Wayne Gay, age 73, of Greenbrier, TN passed away at NorthCrest Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Nashville, TN on February 7, 1941, the son of the late Otis Clifton Gay and Anita Potter Gay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Marie Gay; brothers, Sonny, Jack, & Terry Gay; sister, Janetta Wilbur; step-son, Wayne Burn; wives, Barbara Jean King & Judy Clinard. A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014, 12 Noon at Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel with Bro. Randy Harmon officiating. Masonic Service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 7:30PM. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them at family outings and camping. He loved his camp at Kentucky Lake, stock car racing at the Highland Rim Raceway, fishing, and playing golf. He was named as Honorary Crew Chief for the Highland Rim Raceway. He was a Master Mason and member of Greenbrier Lodge #753 and member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Gay, Greenbrier, TN; sons, Harold (Ruth) Gay, Greenbrier, TN, Scott (Jennifer) Gay, Greenbrier, TN; step-daughter, Cindy Brown, Springfield, TN; brothers, Tommy (Mary Sue) Gay, Greenbrier, TN, Ronnie Gay, Cedar Hill, TN, Harry (Pat) Gay, Greenbrier, TN; sisters, Jo Ann Hambrick, Franklin, TN, Evelyn Vaughn, Springfield, TN, Molly Denny, Ashland City, TN; 12 grandchildren, Ashley Strange, Brad Gay, Ernie Smith, Mitchell Sellers, Timmy Gay, Tifanny Gay, Tyler Gay, Tabby Gay, Jamie Williamson, James Curtis Humphrey, Jessica Humphrey, Jonathan Humphrey; 15 Great Grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 3 to 8PM and on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 9-12PM at Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be German Poteete, Tommy Austin, Jr., Tom Wienner. Pallbearers will be Tyler Gay, Mitchell Sellers, Brad Gay, Charlie Wilbur, Troy Gay, Nathan Gay. Final resting place will be at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
