Julia “Judy” Mae Jordan, age 87, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, died Thursday, February 11th, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 oclock pm, Sunday, February 14th, in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Don Dungan officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham with Kevin Jordan, Wyatt Jordan, Clayton Jordan, Cole Hoskins, Jessie Jordan, and Roger Wilkins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Gilmore and Estelle Eidson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 13th, from 4-8PM and again on Sunday from 12 Noon till the hour of service. Ms. Jordan was born December 2, 1928 in Spring Hill, Tennessee to the late Jimmy D. & Sarah Cleo Overton. She was worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation where she retired after 42 years of service and was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Clayton Jordan; grandson, Will Randles; brothers, Blythe & Douglas; and sisters, Elise, Marge & Nora. She is survived by her son, Kyle (Mary) Jordan of Chapmansboro; daughter, Joyce Jordan of Pegram; grandchildren, Cherry (Jason) Blackford, Kevin Jordan, Jennifer Jordan, Stephanie Jordan, Wyatt Jordan; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. The family wishes to say a very special “thank you” to her caregiver, Christine Ray. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
