Jimmy Miller

Jimmy Miller, age 76, of Springfield, TN passed away at Golden Living in Springfield, TN after a courageous battle with several health issues. He was born on May 30, 1937 in Sumner County, Tennessee to Adalphus Asberry Miller and Josie Mildred Roberson Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Carol Webb. He was the owner of Miller’s Woodshop for over 30 years. He was a man with a huge heart who loved everyone and had a passion for helping those in need. He spent many hours working with the Homeless and Prison Ministries in the Nashville area. He made a mission trip to Africa to work with a team in his later years of life because he saw the needs of people in a foreign land. He was a member of Grace Community Fellowship in Portland, TN. He was a family man who loved his family and extended family with a deep unconditional love. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Glenn Ashworth officiating. He is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Rhonda & Jimmy Fryer, St. Simone’s Island, GA, Karla & Richard Kampa, Hendersonville, TN, Cindy & Myron Hart, Morganton, NC, Crissy & Josh Hicks, Nashville, TN; step-children, Jimmy, Debbie, Alan, Gary, Leslie & Billy; niece and nephew, Pam & Danny Graves; 7 grandchildren, Amy Germanis (John), Victoria Fryer, Lauren Fryer, Miller Kampa, Zachary Hicks, Hailey Hicks, Alex Hart; 2 great grandchildren, Macy & Claire Germanis. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 12, 2013, from 2-9PM and on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 9-11AM the hour of the service. Final resting place will be at Forest Chapel Cemetery in Westmoreland, TN with the Interment at 2PM with family serving as pallbearers.
