Gerald Clark Jenkins, age 79 of Madison, TN, died Friday, December 25, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 oclock pm, Wednesday, December 30th, in the chapel of Austin & Bell funeral home in Greenbrier with Pastor Deeanna Wall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery with Darryl Jenkins, Joe Long, Matthew Brewer, Devin Cantrell, Brandon Bennett and John Bonniger serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 29th, from 4-8:00PM and again on Wednesday beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service. Mr. Jenkins was born October 10, 1936 in Jackson County, TN to the late Victor Hermit and Helen Phillips Jenkins. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a Carpenter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Emma Jenkins; and brothers, Roy Jenkins, Jack Jenkins, Kenneth Jenkins. Survivors include his wife, Linda Jenkins; daughters, Vivian (Bobby) Long of Nashville, TN, Amanda (Mitch) Meek of Collierville, TN; brothers, Brady Russell (Wanda) Jenkins of Indiana, Marcus (Doris) Jenkins of Florida; sisters, Sylvia (Dean) Long of Nashville, TN, and Loucille Kaericher of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Matthew Brewer, Rob Meek, Brandon Bennett, Ashley Long, Rachel Meek; and four great-grandchildren.
