Forrest “Jack” John Kaeser, Jr. age 87 of Greenbrier, TN passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at his residence. Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends Friday, March 3, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 4, 2017 with Bro. D.J. Shoulders officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Jack was born in Stratford, WI on February 10, 1930 to the late Forest John Kaeser, Sr and Grace Shiltz Kaeser. He was a proud Veteran of 22 years in the U.S. Army. He received the following commendations and medals: Korean Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Oak Leaf Cluster) Service Medal, Air Medal, Bronze Star Medal w/Valor Device, Good Conduct Medal (5th Award) Oversea Service Bars (2), Valorous Unit Award, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Bronze Star Medal and Distinguished Unit Citation. He is survived by his biological, adopted and step children, Dean (Judy) Kaeser, David Kaeser, Robert Strauss, Tommy Strauss, Kay (Frank Ray) Kaeser, Kenny Owen, Ricky (Tina) Stone, David N. (Kelli) Stone, Billy (Susan) Stone, Virginia Fox, Betty Jean Spalding; sister, Edie (Ron) Schaefer; 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project Fund.
