Denise Bell Williams

Age 58 of Gallatin, TN departed this life Monday, August 29, 2016 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. She was born December 25, 1957 in Nashville, TN to Phinus Porter and Bertha Lee Turner Brooks Bell. She worked as an accounts receivable clerk for Ingersoll Rand. She is preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Ammon Thomas Brooks and Ottis D. Bell. She was educated in the Robertson County school system and graduated from East Robertson High School. She was also a graduate of Draughon's Business College in Nashville, TN and attended Volunteer State Community College. Denise accepted Christ at an early age at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Cross Plains, TN, and was presently serving faithfully as associate minister at Parker's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Portland, TN. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband of 26 years, Sampson Williams; mother, Bertha Lee Turner Bell, both of Gallatin, TN; son, Lance Williams, Lafayette, TN; 2 grandchildren, Lance Kendrick Williams, Jr. and Addison Nicole Williams; sisters, Evelyn Jean (Cleophus) Payne, Springfield, TN and Rev. Linda M. (Dr. Eugene) Collier, Nashville, TN; sister-in-law, Frankie Richmond Brooks, Lavergne, TN; brother-in-law, L.V. Williams, Cottontown, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, very close cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 1pm at Parker's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 240 Airport Road Portland, TN 37148 with Dr. Eugene Collier Officiating and Reverend James G. Brown, Jr. , Pastor, Eulogist.. Interment will follow in Parker's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Saturday, September 3, 2016 11am-1pm prior to the service at the church.
