Billie Jean Perry, age 91, of Ashland City, Tennessee, died Thursday, March 29, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 oclock pm, Saturday, March 31st, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Cliett Goodpasture and Bro. Johnny Trail officiating. Burial will follow in the Will Smith Cemetery with Doug Vann, Brian Vann, Marc Coulon, Dan Dowlen, Butch Rose, Gary D. Perry, Tildon Perry, Jr., and Tony Young serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her nieces & nephews, and the Elders and Deacons of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 30th, from 2:00-8:00PM and again on Saturday beginning at 10:00AM until the hour of service at 2:00PM. Mrs. Perry was born on October 3, 1926 in Cheap Hill, Tennessee to the late Bryan and Clodys Smith Sanders. In the past she and her husband, Woodrow, owned and operated a grocery store in the Mt. Zion community, and she also worked for many years as a cashier at a local grocery store in Pleasant View. She was a member of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Perry; brother, Stanley Sanders; sister, Lela Allen. Survivors include her daughters, Neva (Tommy) Mayo, Dana Grimes, Cindy (Ken) Moody; brother, Wendell Sanders; sisters, Sylvia Binkley and Mildred Bidwell; grandchildren, Shania (Brian) Balthrop, Lacey Grimes (fianc Justin Gregory), Shawn Moody, Shelly (Terry) Glover, Spencer Moody, and bonus grandson, Matthew Cameron; and many loving nieces & nephews. The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to Caris Hospice, NHC Home Healthcare, and her special caregiver, Faye Ross. If so desired, the family requests memorial contributions be made to either Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ youth group, or Caris Hospice.
